How it began
Cherish Tables was founded in 2020 by a team of passionate carpenters and designers whose goal is to build fully-functioning, beautifully designed furniture from locally-sourced recycled wastewood.

Our commitment to sustainability is a core part of our mission that stems from using recycled and locally-sourced wastewood.

As great as the big chain stores are, we have a clear vision: no chopping down forests while there's so much to reuse. It takes a bit more effort but the results are incredible!
Using recycled products increases the demand for recycled material, which increases the rate of recyclability. Our passion is to instigate and experience positive change through the simple things, and we encourage our customers to do the same.
The Apollo
Fabricated steel legs and a table top that was made from beams used in an old Italian restaurant. This table oozes charm and is a beauty to behold!

Baltic Beauty
Made from Oregon and Baltic pines, this table is a real conversation starter. Solid in its build and look the contrasting colours and imperfections in the wood set it apart from the crowd.

The Merrick
Not all tables are created equal. Some tables simply happen. There are no strict rules for design. Old, mishapen wood can be transformed into something amazing with a bit of loving attention.
Its unique features were enhanced with organic Danish oil finishing.
Bronte Block
Chunky and funky! It looks indestructable, giving the impression that it'll be around for generations! Built to last this table requires minimal maintanenace and its hues and tones will improve as it ages.

The Mathúna
The Mathúna is more than just a table: it’s a bold statement. Made from railway sleepers which are also organic hardwood. The sleepers we use have not been treated with chemicals.
This is a heavy table, weighing in at around 250kg. This table will last an eternity and will be the envy of all of those who dine at her.
The choices of wood are: spotted gum, blue gum (forest red gum), grey ironbark, red ironbark, gum-topped box, red bloodwood, yellow stringy bark, moreton bay ash, messmate or yellow bloodwood.

This seasoned wood is soda-blasted to bring out the wood’s natural colour and features, preserving the feel of the original sleepers, is sanded to 400-grit and finished with several coats of organic oil.
The base has been designed and built to withstand all of the rigours of everyday life and then some. Its folded steel legs and sturdy frame have been fabricated from scratch by craftsmen with over fifty-years experience. The frame is available in any colour and texture to match your setting.

Your table will be delivered and assembled at your location. The size, length, depth and finish can all be adjusted to meet your exact specifications. Turnaround time on this item is between two-or-three weeks.

Care for this table is quick and easy. The wood’s natural charm will form over time. Periodic maintenance of the Mathúna is recommended, which we are happy to provide.

Matching benches and chairs are also available upon request. Larger orders for venues, bars and restaurants attract wholesale pricing.
