About Us

Loving the planet just got a whole lot easier! All of our tables are composed of salvaged timber which would've been otherwise destined for landfill.

Our Origins

Cherish Tables was founded in 2020 by a team of passionate carpenters and designers united by a shared vision: to create beautifully crafted, fully functional furniture using locally sourced, recycled wastewood. Born from a desire to reduce timber waste and celebrate the richness of Australian hardwoods, the team combines traditional joinery techniques with thoughtful, modern design. Every piece is handcrafted with care, transforming timber once destined for landfill into lasting, meaningful furniture. With each table, bench, or cabinet, Cherish Tables honours the natural character of reclaimed wood while offering sustainable pieces that bring warmth, purpose, and longevity into people’s homes.

Inspired by nature

Our Philosophy

Our commitment to sustainability is a core part of our mission that stems from using recycled and locally-sourced wastewood.

Vision statement

As great as the big chain stores are, we have a clear vision: "No chopping down forests while there's so much to reuse. It takes a bit more effort but the results are incredible!"

Using recycled products increases the demand for recycled material, which increases the rate of recyclability. Our passion is to instigate and experience positive change through the simple things, and we encourage our customers to do the same.

W. H. Auden

A craftsman knows in advance what the finished result will be, while the artist knows only what it will be when he has finished it.

Our core
values

Recycle, Reuse, Repurpose

There's life in wood that'll outlast most of us. That's why we recycle. What was this table before it was a table? The list is endless, Railway Sleepers, Restaurant decor, part of a quayside. Who can say? Incorporating what was into what is or what would be helps to minimise the environmental impact of our items.
